About The Position

The Medical Payment Poster is responsible for accurately posting and reconciling insurance and patient payments within a healthcare accounting system. The role includes retrieving remittances from payer portals, balancing accounts, and researching unidentified or incorrectly applied payments. The position begins onsite for training, with potential remote eligibility after proficiency is demonstrated. This is a contract-to-hire role based in Jacksonville, Florida, with a hybrid workplace arrangement. The listed pay is $20.00 per hour. Qualified candidates have at least one year of medical payment posting experience and strong attention to detail.

Requirements

• At least one year of medical payment posting experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research payment discrepancies and determine proper resolutions.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and healthcare accounting systems.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of credit balances, contractual adjustments, and refund processes.
• Ability to work independently while meeting productivity, quality, and HIPAA compliance standards.
