About The Position

The Medical Oncologist will provide clinical-only coverage in an outpatient clinic in Potsdam, New York, from December 28, 2026, through March 29, 2027. The role is primarily outpatient, with inpatient consultations as needed, and serves as holiday and vacation coverage. The physician will see approximately 18–20 patients per day in an outpatient infusion center and work with a multidisciplinary team that includes one nurse practitioner and three certified medical assistants. Epic is used for charting and documentation. Temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Active New York medical license.
• Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology.
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Oncology.
• Epic experience required.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Residents and fellows are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy to patients.
• Manage a patient panel of 18–20 patients per day in an outpatient infusion center.
• Perform inpatient consultations as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including one NP and three CMAs.
• Use Epic for charting and ensure accurate documentation.
