About The Position

This position is responsible for administering, directing, planning, and coordinating all clerical and office activities. It oversees daily office operations and delegates authority to assigned staff. The role develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. It ensures that the office is staffed appropriately, oversees office payroll and leave records, and ensures that daily operations operate according to office procedures. The Medical Office Supervisor is responsible for supervising accounts receivable posting/balancing, reviewing and processing delinquent accounts for proper handling or payment arrangements, collections, or indigent follow-up. Additionally, the role is responsible for the review, coding, and timely return of invoices to accounting and works closely with the Office Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One year of experience working in a medical/physician practice setting.
  • Medical Terminology, ICD-9, and CPT coding experience.

  • Responsible for review, coding and timely return of invoices to accounting.
  • Works closely with Practice Manager.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
