About The Position

This position is for a Supervisor over the Centralized Prior Authorization Team (CPAT). Prior authorization experience is strongly preferred. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One year of experience working in a medical/physician practice setting.
  • Medical Terminology, ICD-9, and CPT coding experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior authorization experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administering, directing, planning and coordinating all clerical and office activities.
  • Oversees daily office operations and delegates authority to assigned staff.
  • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.
  • Ensures that office is staffed appropriately.
  • Oversees office payroll and leave records.
  • Oversees and ensures that daily operations operate according to office procedures.
  • Supervising accounts receivable posting/balancing, reviewing and processing delinquent accounts for proper handling or payment arrangements, collections, or indigent follow-up.
  • Review, coding and timely return of invoices to accounting.
  • Works closely with Practice Manager.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
