About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Practice in its Tampa, Florida office. The firm represents healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings, and handles medical malpractice actions across numerous areas of medicine. Its healthcare practice includes more than 200 attorneys. The ideal candidate is admitted to practice in Florida and has 8 to 15 years of experience representing healthcare providers in litigation and administrative proceedings. Experience defending nursing homes and medical malpractice lawsuits is required. Candidates should be comfortable handling discovery and pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The firm is also interested in talented attorneys with substantive litigation experience, strong skills, and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law.

Requirements

Admission to practice in Florida.
Eight to fifteen years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.
Experience defending nursing homes and medical malpractice lawsuits.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law.
