About The Position

The Reno, Nevada office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Practice. The role involves representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings. The firm represents a broad range of healthcare professionals and organizations and handles medical malpractice matters across numerous specialties. Its healthcare practice includes more than 200 attorneys. Candidates should be comfortable handling discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The firm is also interested in attorneys with substantive litigation experience and an interest in healthcare law, including developing attorneys who bring strong skills from another litigation arena. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate initiative.

Requirements

Admission to practice in Nevada.
Two to fifteen years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self-starter.

Nice To Haves

Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits.
Experience in healthcare law.
Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law.
