Medical Laboratory Scientist I
About The Position
Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist to work nights in the clinical laboratory. The role performs laboratory tests, interprets results, and documents and reports results. It also maintains department equipment, instruments, and tools. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates. The base pay range for full-time employment is $37.13–$54.39 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonuses. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or in biology/chemical science, or an associate degree in medical technology.
- Certification or licensure through ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
