About The Position

As a remote Farci-English medical interpreter, you facilitate communication between Farci and English speakers. You must process information quickly and accurately while maintaining a professional manner. Work is performed from a home office, which must provide a quiet and secure environment. Useful interpreting tools include note pads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries. The role offers ongoing training and competency opportunities and pays monthly at a per-minute rate. Depending on your location, language testing, a background check, and/or a drug screen may be required.

Requirements

• Proficiency at a bilingual or native level in English and the target language, Farci.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain accuracy.
• Computer or laptop running Windows 10 or higher.
• USB wired headset.
• Steady wired internet connection.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of interpretation experience is preferred.
• Note pads and writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between Farci and English speakers, accurately conveying concepts and meanings in accordance with established interpretation protocols.
• Avoid omissions or additions while interpreting.
• Explain cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication when permitted or requested by the client.
• Maintain a quiet and secure home-office environment.
