The Medical Director of Anesthesia is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between NorthStar, hospital administration and anesthesia staff. This person is responsible for assuring the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of medical staff services at his/her facility. The Medical Director will be responsible for the medical leadership, clinical oversight and patient care for the anesthesia department.

Requirements

• ABA/AOBA certification and state licensing required.
• Proven ability to inspire teams and collaborate effectively.
• Strong understanding of anesthesia business.

Responsibilities

• Run 25 rooms daily, Medical direction model.
• Serve as the primary liaison between NorthStar, hospital administration and anesthesia staff.
• Assure the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of medical staff services at his/her facility.
• Provide medical leadership, clinical oversight and patient care for the anesthesia department.
• Set clinical objectives and uphold patient care standards.
• Work with physician leadership to foster excellence and teamwork.
• Encourage professional growth among anesthesia staff.
• Enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
