About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Site Medical Director at Decatur Correctional Center in Decatur, Illinois. The Medical Director provides clinical direction to meet service delivery requirements, directs patient care, and clinically supervises medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The role ensures medical services are efficient and clinically appropriate and participates in committees, including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics, as requested. The position offers a Monday–Friday day shift, with a choice of five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. There are no nights, holidays, or weekends. Annual salary starts at $280,800 and may be higher based on years of experience.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Active, unrestricted Illinois MD/DO license, or ability to obtain one.
Active, unrestricted DEA registration.
Ability to pass credentialing, drug screening, and background check.
Board-certified or board-eligible in a primary care specialty.

Responsibilities
