About The Position

MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with healthcare organizations to transport medical supplies, specimens, and other materials. The Medical Delivery Driver, also described as a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver, spends most of the workday driving a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, X-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials. The position is part-time and offers a Saturday and Sunday shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. in Richmond, California. The listed pay is $20.00–$20.75 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years old and have held an active driver’s license for at least three years.
• Excellent driving history.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with and adapt to technology.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required depending on location and local mandates.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift items from storage racks.
• Comfort with walking and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport medical items and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
• Load and unload the vehicle using appropriate equipment.
• Use a handheld scanning device to track items throughout the transportation cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean and orderly.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Help build and maintain a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
