About The Position
KleenMark is hiring a Medical Cleaning Floater to perform detailed cleaning and disinfecting in medical or healthcare settings in the Appleton/Neenah, Wisconsin area. The role includes terminal cleaning in hospital operating rooms, exam rooms, and patient rooms, as well as general cleaning duties. Employees follow KleenMark cleaning standards, room-specific scopes of work, and environmental health and safety policies. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekend work available, and hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; morning hours are also available. Pay is $20 per hour. Employees in medical facilities must wear provided personal protective equipment, including a mask and gloves, throughout their shift.
Requirements
- Knowledge of bloodborne pathogens and ways to protect against exposure, including practices to avoid cross-contamination.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while providing customer service.
- Compliance with required medical exams and immunizations when applicable.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks according to KleenMark standards and the scope of work for each room.
- Perform terminal cleaning in hospital operating rooms, exam rooms, patient rooms, and other rooms as assigned.
- Understand and follow the operating room cleaning procedure.
- Follow environmental health and safety policies and procedures, including requirements for cleaning chemical use, medical cleaning, and incident reporting.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, removing trash and recycling, cleaning windows, and deep-cleaning restrooms.
- Maintain required health compliance, including medical exams and immunizations when required.
- Provide positive customer service to internal and external customers.
- Follow personal protective equipment requirements, including wearing a mask and gloves for the entirety of shifts in medical facilities.
