About The Position

CHC, a nonprofit social service agency in the Akron area, is hiring a full-time Medical Billing Representative for its addiction treatment center. The role is Monday through Friday and involves processing medical billing and claims, resolving claim issues, and supporting accurate reimbursement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
• Detail oriented
• Experience in all facets of electronic Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing

Responsibilities

• Intake admissions
• Work claim denials
• Process corrected claims
• Work with payers to resolve unpaid claims and ensure reimbursement of the highest allowable revenue per contract
• Follow through on claim status
• Problem solve
• Perform account reconciliation
