About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a Medical Biller at its Taylorsville, Utah headquarters. This full-time role is part of the Revenue Cycle department and is responsible for analyzing and researching claims to identify issues and ensure appropriate resolution. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility.

Requirements

Two years of medical billing experience.
Accurate analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical abilities.
Advanced-level Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Effective verbal and written communication and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

Resolve billing edits and denials within established timelines.
Identify trends and issues and communicate recommendations for resolution to the supervisor or manager.
Follow up with insurance companies about claim status and payment by phone, email, payer websites, and regular mail.
Write appeal letters using established insurance guidelines to resolve collection barriers.
Respond to written and email correspondence within established timelines.
Report departmental issues and concerns to the supervisor.
Use systems, documents, and reports to identify and correct errors accurately and within established timeframes.
Contact insurance companies, third-party payers, banks, attorneys, or individuals by phone, email, payer websites, and regular mail to resolve accounts accurately and within established timeframes.
