About The Position

The Medical Biller is responsible for billing, following up on, and collecting Medical Center receivables to maintain positive cash flow and reduce accounts receivable and A/R days, in compliance with applicable regulations. This is a fully remote contract position based in Baltimore, Maryland, aligned with the Eastern time zone; candidates preferably should be located in the Eastern time zone. Six months of on-the-job training is required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of Medical AR/recovery experience.
• Facility experience required.
• Speed and accuracy with a keyboard and calculator, and computer experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months of on-the-job training required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare billing, collections, or registration.
• Customer service experience.
• Certified Patient Account Technician (CPAT) certification.
• Advanced courses in computers, office administration, or public relations.
