About The Position

The Medical Assistant I (MA I) is an unlicensed healthcare professional who performs routine technical services in medical practice settings under the supervision of a physician and department leadership staff. The role requires knowledge and skills to work efficiently in the back office and/or front office. This is a benefited part-time position of 32 hours per week across four 8-hour shifts. The primary location is the Sea View Pediatrics office in Aliso Viejo, California, though the selected candidate may be asked to work at other Sea View Pediatrics offices as needed. The stated pay range is $23.00 to $34.54 per hour, with a midpoint of $28.77. Pay is determined by factors including knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements.

Requirements

Previous work experience or an externship in a healthcare setting.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Graduation from a vocational school with successful completion of Medical Assistant requirements.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Medical Assistant Diploma.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for safe and effective job performance.
Proficiency in medical terminology.
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in the functional area.
