About The Position
MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant at its Webb Road location in Tampa. The Medical Assistant oversees patient care and performs a range of clinical and administrative tasks in the front and back office. The role involves welcoming and triaging patients, preparing them for physician visits, assisting with examinations and procedures, and supporting appointment scheduling and patient documentation. The position offers a starting salary of $20.00 per hour; compensation may depend on experience.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer literacy, including experience using an EMR/EHR.
- Computer proficiency.
- Previous experience with medical records.
Responsibilities
- Greet and triage patients upon arrival.
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, height, and weight measurements.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
- Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
