About The Position
MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant at its Webb Road location in Tampa. The Medical Assistant supports patient care and performs a range of front- and back-office duties in a fast-paced primary care environment. The role includes greeting and triaging patients, preparing them for physician visits, assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments, and completing administrative tasks. The starting salary is $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
- Computer proficiency.
- Previous experience with medical records.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and triage them upon arrival.
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, height, and weight measurements.
- Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
- Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
