About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time, bilingual English/Spanish Medical Assistant in Tampa. The Medical Assistant supports patient care by greeting and triaging patients, preparing examination and procedure rooms, gathering patient histories and measurements, and assisting physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments. The role also includes administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and procedures and managing pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The position is based at N Habana Ave in Tampa, with hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The starting salary is $20.00 per hour, with compensation depending on experience.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and triage them upon arrival.

• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight and height measurements.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
