About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time, bilingual English/Spanish Medical Assistant in Tampa. The role supports patient care in a primary care setting by greeting and triaging patients, preparing examination and procedure rooms, collecting patient histories and measurements, assisting physicians with examinations and treatments, and completing front desk and administrative tasks. The position is based on N Habana Avenue in Tampa and pays a starting rate of $20.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Computer literacy and proficiency, including experience using an EMR/EHR.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and triage them upon arrival.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and height and weight measurements.
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
• Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
• Perform front desk tasks.
