About The Position

A Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team who helps patients feel at ease and collaborates with providers throughout patient visits. The role includes maintaining basic life support certification and compliance with organizational education, licensure, and certification requirements. The Medical Assistant may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to support optimal clinic operations. This is an onsite position at the CP-Forest Home Health Center facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Requirements

No experience is required.
High school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job Medical Assistant training; or completion of a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of healthcare experience is preferred.
