About The Position

A Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team who helps patients feel at ease and collaborates with the provider throughout the patient’s visit. The role requires maintaining basic life support certification and staying compliant with organizational educational, licensure, and certification requirements. The Medical Assistant may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to support optimal clinic operations. This is an on-site position at Froedtert Men Falls Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. The position is listed as 1.0 FTE with 40 standard hours and Shift 1.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job Medical Assistant training; or completion of a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
