About The Position

A Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team who helps patients feel at ease and collaborates with the provider throughout each patient visit. The Medical Assistant is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with organizational education, licensure, and certification requirements. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to support optimal clinic operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, plus one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job Medical Assistant training; or completion of a Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of healthcare experience preferred.
