About The Position

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its Podiatry team in Wausau, Wisconsin. The Medical Assistant is a member of the clinic care team and performs a variety of clinic tasks as directed by the clinic team. Medical assistants may perform tasks for which they have been trained and deemed competent. This is a full-time position at 1.0 FTE, or 80 hours biweekly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Maintain Basic Life Support training through independent study, manikin testing, and knowledge testing. Accepted training includes the American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider course or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred.
