Medical Assistant, Podiatry
About The Position
The Medical Assistant will join UW Health’s podiatry team, which evaluates and treats a variety of foot ailments, including foot and heel pain, heel spurs, hammer toes, bunions, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, plantar warts, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, and tendinitis. The role supports the delivery of high-quality care in a compassionate, respectful, patient- and family-centered environment and promotes wellness and healthy lifestyles. This is a 100% FTE, day-shift position. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:45 AM and 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on departmental operational needs.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program; or licensure as an LPN; or completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program; or attainment of CCMA certification as a UWH employee; or acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated; or one year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
- Certification as an MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within one year, or LPN licensure upon hire.
- If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is required upon hire.
- CPR/BLS certification is required upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN.
