About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in its dermatology practice in the Lake Sumter, Florida area. The role calls for exceptional customer service and clinical skills and supports the practice’s mission to deliver high-quality patient care and experiences in dermatology and aesthetic services. The Medical Assistant will work with a team of professionals focused on putting patients first.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is required.
• Must be computer literate.
• CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within four weeks of employment.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of dermatology experience is preferred.
• A medical assistant certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program is preferred.
• CPR certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ skin conditions.
• Assess and update patients’ medical histories.
• Maintain records of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyze information regarding skin health conditions.
• Inform patients about appropriate and available treatments.
• Conduct non-intrusive medical surgeries.
• Educate patients about preventive skin care.
• Screen patients and employees daily upon entry.
