About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Urgent Care Unit at Fairfax Health Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The role provides direct patient care and supports clinic operations in an outpatient urgent care environment, under the supervision of a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Two years of experience.
- Maintain BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments and answer the phone.
- Assist the physician with procedures.
- Collect urine specimens in accordance with state regulatory requirements and record urinalysis results in patients’ charts.
- Complete patient paperwork accurately.
- Perform daily inventory reconciliation and assist with medication stocking.
- Provide and assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician.
