About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas is hiring a PRN Medical Assistant for its Post Surgical Unit. The role supports patient care under the direction of registered nurses and helps maintain the unit’s daily operations. The hospital is located in Irving, Texas, and provides surgical and medical services across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, joint replacement, spine, urology, general surgery, and ENT.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of Tele/Med-Surg experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Previous electronic healthcare record experience helpful.
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties, including distributing messages.
- Perform clinical duties under the direction of an RN, such as assisting patients to the restroom and removing IV catheters.
- Clean rooms when needed.
- Assist registered nurses as instructed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
