About The Position

Concentra is hiring a Medical Assistant in Moreno Valley on a per diem basis. The role uses Medical Assistant training to support patient experience and quality of care while working alongside a dedicated team. Medical Assistants work one-on-one with patients, help manage patient onboarding and routine medical care, and may perform blood draws, injections, EKGs, vital-sign measurements, drug screens, and patient rooming. The position also includes cross-training in Front Office duties. The role requires discretion and secure handling of confidential and sensitive information.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic clinical office environment.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred, but not required.
• Conversational fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to read and write in both languages, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain their medical histories, and verify patient information.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, take vital signs, and perform required testing.
• Assist during examinations and treatment.
• Perform ancillary tests and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director and as certified, including PFTs, EKGs, injections, audiograms, and blood draws.
• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Perform cross-trained Front Office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, checking patients in and out, and communicating wait times.
• Manage confidential and sensitive information with ongoing discretion and security.
