About The Position

The Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team, helping patients feel at ease and collaborating with providers throughout patient visits. The role requires maintaining Basic Life Support certification and complying with organizational education, licensure, and certification requirements. The Medical Assistant may cross-train to provide services at multiple sites and float as needed to support clinic operations. This is an onsite position at the CP-Mequon Health Center in Mequon, Wisconsin, with a 0.4 FTE and 16 standard hours per week. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; no weekends or holidays are indicated.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of an MA program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; or one year of on-the-job MA training; or completion of an MA Apprenticeship program.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of healthcare experience is preferred.
