About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support a high-volume plastic surgery practice in Southbury, Connecticut. The role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and is comfortable with patients’ unique needs. The Medical Assistant helps ensure smooth patient flow, assists providers with procedures, and delivers respectful, high-quality care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant clinical experience.
- CPR certification required.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
- National Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms and assist patients during visits.
- Collect and document patient history, vital signs, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the EMR.
- Assist with in-office procedures, catheter care, specimen collection, and patient education.
- Process lab and diagnostic results, ensuring timely review and filing.
- Coordinate patient flow and collaborate with front desk staff to optimize scheduling.
- Support administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
