About The Position

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support its high-volume plastic surgery practice in Southbury, Connecticut. The role supports patient flow, assists providers with procedures, and helps deliver respectful, high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position includes clinical and administrative duties such as preparing rooms, collecting and documenting patient information in the EMR, assisting with in-office procedures, and coordinating scheduling and patient flow. The Medical Assistant also processes lab and diagnostic results and supports patients through education and care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of relevant clinical experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• National Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms and assist patients during visits.
• Collect and document patient history, vital signs, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the EMR.
• Assist with in-office procedures, catheter care, specimen collection, and patient education.
• Process lab and diagnostic results, ensuring timely review and filing.
• Coordinate patient flow and collaborate with front desk staff to optimize scheduling.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
