About The Position
The IMA Group is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant for a regular part-time position in Toledo, Ohio. The role supports healthcare professionals in delivering medical assessments and evaluations, combining hands-on patient care with front office duties. Starting pay is $17 an hour. The IMA Group’s Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies by delivering professional and objective medical and psychological examinations and ancillary services. Its Payer Services Division provides evaluation and screening services to carriers, TPAs, public entities, and employers, including behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services. Its Clinical Research Division conducts Phase II–IV clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas through a nationwide network of sites and virtual capabilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior healthcare experience.
- Ability to accurately take a manual blood pressure.
- EMR experience.
- Comfort working in both front and back office roles.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and strong interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
- Medical Assistant certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient care and medical evaluations.
- Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, including manual blood pressure, and medical histories.
- Perform routine clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and other clinical tests.
- Handle front office tasks, including greeting patients, answering inquiries, and maintaining records in the EMR.
- Keep medical equipment and supplies organized and stocked.
