About The Position

Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Family and Internal Medicine clinic at the Care Center in Grand Haven, Michigan. The Medical Assistant is part of the clinical support team and works closely with other healthcare professionals to help deliver patient care. Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering opportunities to learn across primary and specialty care or specialize in an area. This opportunity offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus to external applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a hands-on, competency-based medical assistant training program.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Obtain one of the following certifications within 120 days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).

Nice To Haves

• One year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
