About The Position

The Medical Assistant II works under the delegation of a Practice Manager and/or Provider to perform duties that assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The role performs all aspects of the Medical Assistant I position and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions of the assigned clinic or work location. The Medical Assistant II is expected to follow established policies, procedures, and regulations. This position may require floating to other clinics.

The position is with Kadlec Regional Medical Center, part of Providence, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants; or completion of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or at least one year of medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Six months of healthcare experience.
• Six months of Medical Assistant experience.
