About The Position

Bethany Medical is seeking a full-time bilingual (Spanish) Certified or Registered Medical Assistant for its High Point, North Carolina location. The Medical Assistant performs patient interviews; measures and records vital signs; performs phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, spirometry, and specimen collection; and enters information into patients’ charts and the electronic medical record. The role also includes preparing treatment rooms, educating patients, and working closely with providers and fellow staff members to support quality patient care and satisfaction. Ongoing competency and skills assessment is required.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• One of the following credentials is required, or must be obtained within six months of hire: CMA (verified through AAMA), RMA (verified through AMT), NCMA (verified through NCCT), or ABR-OE (verified through AAMA).

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience in Family Practice, Neurology, Pain Management, or Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews and provide patient care.
• Measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Administer injections and immunizations.
• Perform EKGs and spirometry.
• Record and enter patient information into charts and the electronic medical record.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Educate patients.
• Communicate and collaborate with providers and fellow staff members.
• Complete ongoing competency and skills assessments.
