About The Position
Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Medical Assistant provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The role assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting and performs patient care duties as delegated by a physician within a multidisciplinary patient care team. Specific duties and responsibilities are determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established. Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Requirements
- One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Visual color acuity screening, depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities

- Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
