About The Position
This is an internal application for the Medical Assistant position in the St. Charles Complete Care office. This is a full-time opening with no weekends or holidays, and the position is benefit eligible. The role involves performing back office functions, assisting providers with patient care, measuring vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and accurately documenting patient care in the electronic health record (NextGen). The Medical Assistant will also coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Must project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
- CPR Certification.
- PC/Windows proficiency.
- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
Nice To Haves
- Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Medical coding familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Perform back office functions
