About The Position

This is an internal application for the Medical Assistant position in the St. Charles Complete Care office. This is a full-time opening in an outpatient clinical practice with no weekends or holidays required. The Medical Assistant will perform back office functions, assist providers in patient care, measure vital signs, perform phlebotomy, document patient care in the electronic health record (NextGen), and coordinate care with other healthcare team members. The role requires a positive and upbeat attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient comfort and satisfaction.

Requirements

Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
CPR Certification.
PC/Windows proficiency.
Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.

Nice To Haves

The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
Medical coding familiarity.

Responsibilities
