About The Position

Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Ear, Nose, and Throat practice at the Lake Drive Care Center in Grand Rapids. The practice serves patients from newborn to geriatric with ear, nose, and throat diagnoses, including patients referred to the practice or self-referred. ENT can be busy, and staff work together to meet patient needs while providing excellent care.

The Medical Assistant is part of the clinical support team and works closely with other healthcare professionals to help deliver quality patient care. The position is full-time, with 40 scheduled hours per week on a day shift. Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; days are variable, and weekend frequency is listed as N/A. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• Obtain one of the following certifications within 120 days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
