About The Position

A non-exempt medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant assists medical providers and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Medical Assistant certification.
• AHA BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing patient needs and health plans.
• Complete all necessary documentation in the patient’s medical record in accordance with the practice’s charting policy.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians with medical treatments, exams, and procedures.
• Arrange specialized consultations and appointments for testing as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with practice policies and procedures.
