About The Position

Medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant assists medical providers and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program, or three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completing the program.
• CPR certification.
• At least one year of relevant work experience, or three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completing an accredited Medical Assisting Program.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assessing patient needs and developing a health plan.
• Completes necessary documentation in the patient’s medical record in accordance with the practice’s charting policy.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, examinations, and procedures.
• Arranges specialized consultations and testing appointments as ordered by physicians.
