About The Position
As a Medical Assistant, you will provide quality, compassionate care while working under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership. You will perform administrative and clinical tasks that support patient care and help ensure a seamless, positive patient experience. The role is part of Henry Ford Medical Group, which delivers coordinated care across primary and specialty practices and emphasizes collaborative teamwork and relationships with patients and communities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship of at least 160 hours, or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
- Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
- Perform clinical tasks to support ambulatory patient care.
- Use problem-solving skills to address patient needs and ensure efficient workflows.
