Medical Assistant - Blue Ridge
About The Position
Heart and Vascular Care is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Blue Ridge office. The role requires prior medical assistant experience and foundational MA skills; the organization will provide training on its processes. The position involves clinical and administrative support, with occasional travel between the Cumming and Dawsonville offices to cover staff leave. Mileage for travel between offices is reimbursed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no nights or weekends. Requirements
- Prior medical assistant experience and basic MA skills.
- Be a dependable team player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- If not already nationally certified as a medical assistant, obtain certification within six months of employment. Examples include CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NCMA, and NCCT.
Responsibilities
- Perform full triage.
- Take manual vital signs and blood pressure.
- Perform EKGs.
- Record and update patient information.
- Prepare charts.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Handle medication refills.
- Travel occasionally between the Cumming and Dawsonville offices to cover for PTO and sick leave.
