About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The Medical Assistant assists with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge, and helps ensure optimal delivery of medical care. The position follows a rotating schedule: four workdays one week and three the next, totaling seven workdays over each 14-day period and including every other weekend. Clinic hours are subject to change. Employment begins at $15 per hour. Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

Nice To Haves

Prior medical assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist providers in caring for patients and supporting the delivery of medical care.
Triage patients promptly according to clinic procedures.
Record vital signs, weight, and updates to patients’ medical histories before visits.
Perform laboratory tests in accordance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.
Prepare examination rooms for appointments, ensuring they are clean and ready.
Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
Position patients for x-rays according to provider directives.
Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.
