About The Position
MainStreet Family Care is seeking an energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering care to patients. The role assists with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge across the company’s urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. This is a PRN position with a rotating schedule; flexibility is essential, and travel to other clinics may be needed. The position begins at $15 per hour. Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.
- Flexibility with scheduling for the PRN rotating schedule.
- Ability to travel to other clinics as needed.

- Prior medical assisting experience or education.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers in caring for patients to support optimal delivery of medical care.
- Triage patients promptly according to clinic procedures and support smooth workflow.
- Document vital signs, weight, and updates to patients’ medical histories before visits.
- Perform laboratory tests in accordance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
- Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.
- Prepare examination rooms for appointments, ensuring they are clean and ready.
- Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Position patients for X-rays following provider directives.
- Help monitor and manage medical inventory as needed.
