Medical Assistant with Pediatric Experience
About The Position
Pediatrics of Southwest Houston is seeking a full-time, experienced Medical Assistant with at least one year of pediatric care experience. The role supports efficient patient flow and patient care in an in-person clinic setting. Duties include conducting exams, performing in-office procedures, and providing patient education. The Medical Assistant records vital signs, maintains accurate documentation for office visits, and assists with scheduling procedures with the hospital. The position requires experience managing the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, a Certified Medical Assistant certification, and the ability to commute reliably to Bellaire Land, TX 77401 or relocate before starting.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in pediatrics.
- Experience managing the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
- Strong teamwork skills in a medical setting.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic lab testing knowledge.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification is required.
- Must reliably commute to Bellaire Land, TX 77401 or plan to relocate before starting work.
