About The Position
MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support patient care and perform front- and back-office tasks at multiple clinics throughout Sarasota County. The role involves greeting and triaging patients, preparing them for physician visits, and helping provide focused, empathetic care. The Medical Assistant prepares examination and procedure rooms, obtains patient histories and vital signs, and measures height and weight. The role also includes assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments, as well as administrative work such as scheduling appointments and procedures and managing pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The position is 40 hours per week, with hours based on facility needs. The starting salary is $20.00 per hour, with a competitive wage depending on experience. A $500 sign-on bonus is paid after completing the first 30 days. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer literacy, including experience using an EMR/EHR.
- Computer proficiency.
- Previous experience with medical records.
