About The Position
MaxHealth is hiring full-time Medical Assistants for multiple clinics throughout Manatee County. The role supports patient care and clinic operations across front- and back-office tasks. Medical Assistants greet and triage patients, prepare examination and procedure rooms, collect patient histories and vital signs, and measure height and weight. They assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments, and may also schedule appointments and procedures and manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The position involves providing focused, empathetic care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
- Computer proficiency.
- Previous experience with medical records.
Responsibilities
- Greet and triage patients upon arrival.
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, height, and weight measurements.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures as needed.
- Manage pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.
