About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports the Internal Medicine department in Skokie, Illinois. The role includes welcoming and escorting patients, documenting visit information, performing basic vital-sign measurements, and providing front-office support as needed. Phlebotomy and injections may also be required. The position is full-time, requires travel to other sites based on department needs, and provides on-the-job training for candidates without prior medical assistant training or experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
One year of work experience.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program.
Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA).
Previous experience working in a medical office or related field.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and escort them to the exam room.
Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and the reason for the office visit.
Provide front-office support as needed.
Measure basic vitals, including blood pressure, height, and weight.
Perform phlebotomy and injections when required.
Travel to other sites based on department needs.
